DEARBORN — Fordson High School Key Club members raised about $2000 for victims of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. The money will be donated to the Palestinian Children Relief Fund (PCRF).
“I’m so proud of our students,” said Fordson Key Club Advisor Zinab Zriek. The students raised the money at local businesses including Ram’s Horn in Dearborn Heights, Yogurtopia in West Dearborn and Midway Sports and Entertainment of Taylor.
Key Club members have also raised awareness and money for other charitable organizations that deliver aid to war stricken countries such as Zaman International. In the past, Key Club students have participated in local efforts to feed the needy in southeast Michigan by helping package up food for underserved families.
