Shatila Bakery is a symbol of the Arab American dream— a far reaching entrepreneurial success that stems from a mix of innovation and tradition. Zinat Shatila, widow of the legendary Riad Shatila, is the president of the company. She is also a hard-working mother who helped raise three women: Nada, Tanya and Batoul.

Nada said it was a blessing to be raised by Zinat Shatila. She described her as inspiring and dedicated to the family business and her children.

“She taught us the value of always trying our best in every life experience,” Nada said of her mother. “She also taught us how to respect others and be giving to our community, while remaining humble and grateful. Our mother was truly the backbone to our father’s success in growing our family bakery. Today, she remains our family’s backbone. Happy Mother’s Day to our amazing mother. We love you.”
