NEW YORK – Fox News host Bill O’Reilly blasted President Barack Obama Wednesday night, saying the commander in chief’s “emotional attachment to the Muslim world has hurt” the country.
“The Obama administration’s greatest failure is allowing the Islamic terror group ISIS to run wild, murdering thousands of innocent people all over the world, including many Muslims,” O’Reilly said.
He also hit Obama for not using the phrase “radical Islam,” saying the leader doesn’t define the terror threat “accurately.”
Addressing why he believes the president holds the “emotional attachment” to Islam, O’Reilly chronicled Obama’s upbringing, noting that he was steeped in Muslim culture growing up and studied in Indonesia. Additionally, the Fox News commentator shared a photo of Obama attending the wedding of a Muslim relative in the 1990s.
O’Reilly, a Catholic, said he denounced the Catholic Church with a “vengeance” when news of the priest pedophilia scandal broke, and called on Obama to do the same.
“Barack Obama should do what I do: aggressively call out those who abuse the Muslim faith, who commit atrocities under a religious banner,” he said. “He should make defeating jihad a central issue and stop trying to diminish Islamic terrorism.”
The Fox News anchor said the president is “avoiding the simple truth” that radical Islam is a “direct threat to the entire world” and that “Islamic killers … are the central problem on the planet.”
