DEARBORN – Dreamy Children’s Center located at 27335 West Warren Street, Dearborn Heights, MI 48127 has been open for two years.
The Center is an addition to the company’s day care that was started more than a decade ago in Dearborn.
Dreamy Group DayCare is located at 7453 Hartwell Street, Dearborn, MI 48126. The environment at both centers in Dearborn Heights and Dearborn is meant to provide various social and intellectual experiences that help the children develop into educated, respectful and responsible individuals.
The family owned day care and Center set a nurturing and loving atmosphere. The meals are homemade and always cooked with the freshest ingredients. The teachers at the Center and day care are all certified and have experience.
The center goes beyond just providing care for the children, but it also has an educational aspect as well. It has a curriculum for every age group.
The infant program provides a developmental level curriculum geared towards providing the child an opportunity through their own efforts to explore, manipulate and come to a better understanding of the world. The focus of the toddler program is to help develop social, self-help, and language skills, as well as setting a basis for positive self-image.
Transition toddlers are potty-trained and prepped for a preschool setting. Preschoolers are provided with activities that help shape their problem solving skills by involvement with hands-on-activities that essentially help them improve in literacy, math, science and social skills.
The pre-kindergarten program is an efficient way to help children experience literature in a way that helps them grasp an appreciation and comprehension of it.
Math is reinforced by the use of measuring tools and calendar activities. The kindergarten program follows curriculum guidelines established by the Michigan Department of Education. It works to help children develop their reading, writing, math, and science skills, all while encouraging creative activities and cognitive tasks.
“Strong education at early stages is our goal. I have a preschooler starting to read. I have non-Arabic speaking kids starting to write and read Arabic after their second year in the program,” said supervisor Rawia Al-Houssaini, who is the owner Sawsan AlAyoubi’s daughter.
The center provides various activities and educational opportunities. They hold marital arts classes weekly and have bilingual and Islamic studies classes. It has Montessori programs as well as a summer camp for school age children that includes soccer and swimming classes. Children ages four to 14 can participate in Quran and Arabic programs.
Dreamy Children’s Center and Dreamy Group Day Care do not only pride themselves on academia, but also on promoting diversity.
