DEARBORN — The Dearborn Chamber of Commerce will host a Farmer and Artisan Market in Dearborn during the 2008 market season. On Fridays, July 11 – October 10, from 9 am – 2 pm, local farmers, artisans, and other vendors will offer their wares to the public. The market will be located between the two parking decks behind West Village Commons between Tenny and Howard. The event is sponsored by Henry Ford Medical Center-Fairlane.
“We know this market will positively impact Dearborn on many levels,” said Dearborn Chamber President Jennifer Knott Giering. “It will offer an additional green-friendly, healthy service to customers; it will jump start area restaurants/businesses during the Friday lunch hour and will give an opportunity for local artists and entertainers to present their creations to a larger audience.”
The market will be enhanced by children’s activities and entertainment, making for the perfect end to each week during the summer and fall.
