DEARBORN — The Islamic Center of America, located on Ford Rd., was named one of Michigan’s most spiritual places by the Huffington Post in an article entitled, “This Is The Most Spiritual Place In Your Home State.”

The article features a complied list and photos of the most spiritual places in all 50 states. The Huffington Post also called the religious sites  “sacred” and the “holiest places in America.”

The ICA was established in 1963. It is one of the most recognizable buildings in metro Detroit, a landmark for Dearborn and a source of great pride for all American Muslims who worship and learn at the largest center of its kind in the country. The mosque follows the Shia teachings, but Muslims of all denominations are welcome. Both Shia and Sunni worshipers pray there.
