Fans of local musician Stevie Soul can vote online for the unique beatboxer to be named “Jordan’s Best Talent,” in a contest put on by a Jordanian radio station seeking worldwide votes.
Stevie Soul, a Redford Arab American of Palestinian and Jordanian heritage, regularly performs at local schools and community events, wowing crowds with songs using simultaneous rhythms and melodies coming entirely from his mouth.

He’s made increasingly frequent trips to Jordan, where he’s gained popularity.

“When he was in Jordan, he was interviewed by the radio station,” said Stevie Soul’s father and publicist Nabil Ansara. “To them, he was like one of the most fascinating guys — a Jordanian coming from America and beatboxing.”
