Dearborn — Oakwood Healthcare Inc. (OHI) has appointed Lisa Rutledge and Roy Sexton to leadership roles in directing Oakwood’s communications, planning and community outreach services.
Rutledge was named corporate director of community outreach in October 2007. In this role, she oversees community outreach efforts, including community services such as car seat safety checks and health screenings, school-based and school linked health centers, public relations opportunities and developing and maintaining relationships with community leaders, programs and services. Rutledge is a licensed social worker and a graduate of Michigan State University. She has vast experience in counseling and health education services and has also presented numerous health-oriented presentations throughout the Unites States and is a published poet as well. Rutledge resides in Taylor and has been with OHI since 1995.
In October 2007, Sexton was appointed corporate director of strategic communications and planning – a role that encompasses Oakwood’s marketing initiatives and campaigns, communication vehicles, market data analysis and certificate of need regulations. Together with Oakwood executive leadership, Sexton has supported the development of Oakwood’s recently launched Mission, Vision and Values initiative.
Sexton received his masters of business administration from the University of Michigan – Flint in 2007, a masters of arts from Ohio State University in 1997 and a bachelor of arts degree from Wabash College in Indiana. Sexton is a Rhodes scholar finalist and has performed as lead actor in numerous theatrical productions. Sexton is a resident of Saline and has been with OHI since 2000.
