DEARBORN — One adult and three juveniles were arrested on April 1 in connection to a home invasion in west Dearborn.
The police received a call around 7:15 a.m. about three males exiting from the window of a home near Outer Drive and Cherry Hill.
The suspects ran through backyards and attempted to flee on bikes, according to the police. But officer were able to apprehend the three teenagers, and the investigation led to a fourth arrest.
Officers discovered evidence which linked the suspects to the home invasion and multiple recent larcenies in the area.
Lawrence Kellerman, a 17 year-old Dearborn Heights resident, was charged with Home Invasion 2nd Degree and Receiving and Concealing Stolen Property. Petitions were filed in Wayne County Juvenile Court, for the three juveniles. They are awaiting charges.
“These types of serial crimes erode the security and well-being of our community. Citizen participation and quick response by officers brought this crime wave to an end,” said Police Chief Ronald Haddad.
