A poll conducted Nov. 19-22 by Zogby International shows 63 percent of Americans say they prefer doing all their holiday shopping online instead of shopping at local malls, and 64 percent plan on making holiday purchases online this year. In recent years 86 percent have made online holiday gift purchases. A third prefer to do their holiday shopping at the mall this year, while 22 percent don’t plan on buying gifts online at all. These numbers are similar to the results of a Zogby poll from last year that indicated 61 percent of Americans preferred to shop on online, 23 percent said they would rather shop at the mall and 69 percent said they planned to purchase holiday gifts online.
