Osama Siblani, publisher of The Arab American News will appear on the WXYZ Channel 7 program Spotlight at 9:30 a.m., Sunday, June 8. 

The show is hosted by WXYZ Editorial Director Chuck Stokes. In addition to Siblani, Bankole Thompson senior editor at the Michigan Chronicle and 7 Action News investigator Jim Kiertzner will also join the discussion about the latest developments in Detroit’s Bankruptcy,  and the Michigan Senate’s recent vote to grant almost $200 million of aide to the recovering city. 

Some of the money will be used to protect the pensions of retired city employees and preserve art at the DIA.
