STERLING HEIGHTS — Three local men are in police custody after robbing a bride’s house on her wedding day. The mother of the bride says the men ruined her daughter’s wedding day, but she’s relieved they were caught. The bride’s mother asked not to be identified but says she came home from the wedding and found her home destroyed.
According to reports, the bride was worried no one would be home during her wedding weekend, so she asked police to watch it.
While they were watching the house, police witnessed 23-year-old Taymar Jarbo, 20-year-old Thomas Khidir and 21-year-old Aveal Gigka ransack the home and emerge shortly afterwards.
The three men were charged with 2nd Degree Home Invasion and Possession of Burglary Tools. They could spend 15 years behind bars if convicted.
