HOLLYWOOD –
Donald Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was installed in 2007 without much noise
or fanfare.
However, now the
sight has become the subject of vandalism and graffiti. In the last month, numerous
tourists have expressed their dismay at the reality star’s turn as a presidential
candidate.
Messages from “racist”
to “don’t vote for Trump” have been written on the star. Last month, a woman
tweeted that her dog left his feces on the display. A man also urinated on the star and posted the incident on social media.
Clean up crews
have had to remove the damage on numerous occasions.
However, the
Hollywood Chamber of Commerce stated that it is not likely the star will be
removed, even if tourists continue to express disapproval. In the last week
there had been chatter that they were considering getting rid of it.
“Once a star has been added to the Walk, it is
considered a part of the historic fabric of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Because
of this, we have never removed a star from the Walk,” said Ron Gubler
