DEARBORN HEIGHTS 
— Five candidates, Councilman Ned Apigian, Council Chair Ken Baron,
Kathy Abdel-Hak, Lisa Hicks-Clayton, and Scott Craig, will run for three seats
on City Council in Dearborn Heights as the Tuesday deadline to submit a
petition has passed. Elizabeth Agius, another council member, will not pursue
re-election in November. The city clerk race will include Councilwoman Janet
Badalow, City Clerk Walter Prusiewicz, State Rep. Bob Constan, Michelle
Doumont, and Deborah Tutro beginning with a primary in August that will narrow
the candidates down to two in what is expected to be a tight race. The city
clerk candidates are seeking to fill the remaining term of Judy Dudzinski until
the end of 2013.
