DEARBORN HEIGHTS — The Dearborn Heights Police Department celebrated the addition of four new officers in July with swearing-in ceremonies at the Dearborn Heights City Hall.
Three of the four newest police officers are security or law enforcement veterans.
Mehdi Ayoub has worked for the Dearborn and Livonia Police Departments, as well as the Fairlane Town Center Public Safety Department. He graduated from Fordson High School, and attended Henry Ford College, focusing on criminal justice studies.
Mahdi Bazzi served in the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and the Fairlane Town Center Public Safety Department. He is a graduate of Edsel Ford High School and attended Henry Ford College, focusing on criminal justice studies.
Michael Walters worked for the Henry Ford Police Authority, the U.S. Marshal’s Service and the Detroit Police Department. He graduated from Romulus High School, and earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in criminal justice from Wayne State University.
Ty Jasman is a 2018 graduate of Schoolcraft College and the Wayne County Regional Police Training Academy.
